Garden Design in and around
Bristol
Having worked in the garden industry for over 15 years, we take great pleasure in transforming unloved outdoor spaces. We feel excited every time we visit a garden to start the design process, and look forward to seeing a garden’s potential being realised.
The wonderful thing about garden design is the opportunity to create a variety of useful and interesting areas within one garden habitat.
We get great pleasure from constructing space for nature to thrive, such as raised beds with well thought out plants and flowers for the bees to enjoy. Or ponds and water features for the birds to cool off in the hot sun.
Sometimes we design our greener-fingered clients separate growing space, where they can produce vegetables and herbs for the kitchen.
After an afternoon of weeding a lawn mowing, we love to imagine clients relaxing on their pergola shaded patio or decking and enjoying a cold drink while their children run and play on a lush green lawn.
Whilst we are predominantly based in Bristol, being a stone’s throw from the M5 motorway with transport links to North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and surrounding areas, we frequently travel to other localities too. If you are looking for a design quote do get in touch.
Being Bristol, there are multiple alternative spots to enjoy flora and fauna too, Arnos Vale Cemetery is particularly special, and Pekka’s herb garden is a wonderful space to get inspired to grow your own food.
The National Trust House and Gardens at Tyntesfield is another place to while away an afternoon, surrounded by nature. There’s an orangery, kitchen garden, open lawns, and formal terraces to explore, as well as woodland and orchards. Bristol Botanical Garden is a place close to our heart, and where Tom initially studied Garden Design.
Heading south down the Severn Estuary is Clevedon’s promenade. The beautifully landscaped ornamental gardens on display along the seafront contains brightly coloured flower beds, manicured hedges, shrubs and well thought-out planting. Clevedon’s annual flower show is another opportunity for botanical inspiration. The show holds competitions in an array of horticultural pursuits, including but not limited to; cut flowers, vegetables, fruit, roses, baking and cider making.
